In any conflict zone, its common that the party controlling the media will excuse the other party of atrocities on civilians.
Case in point -
Desi media projects LTTE cadres kill 17 Tamils fleeing Wanni war zones as fact.
Should not the desi media mention that the source of the news is the military/government ?

I am not refuting the news or taking Sri Lankan or LTTE's side.
But an independent media should not push their own agenda, subtle or otherwise.
