Age of inexperience

"The difference between the Congress and BJP in terms of young leaders is that the former consist almost entirely of dynastic inheritors. Jyotiraditya Scindia, Sachin Pilot, Jitin Prasada, Milind Deora, Priya Dutt and all others —— including Rahul Gandhi’s core team of advisers —— are, like their master, inheritors of the dynastic baton being children of illustrious Congress leaders mostly deceased. Interestingly, the case is quite similar with the regional parties, be it NDA members Shiv Sena and Akali Dal or UPA partners, DMK, Samajwadi Party and increasingly even NCP. Arguably, many of these young leaders have established themselves in politics, won elections and handled ministerial responsibility.
Still, the fact remains that none of them had to struggle to rise to a position of importance in their respective parties: It was handed to them on a platter by virtue of birth. Given such a head-start, they quickly consolidated their status under the benign patronage of their indulgent fathers."
